Frequently Asked Questions

What is Miraj?

What age is Miraj for?

Miraj is designed for Muslim children aged 4 to 9. All content is carefully selected to be age-appropriate and aligned with Islamic values.

What kind of content does Miraj have?

Miraj includes Islamic storybooks, learning games, audiobooks and videos. Every piece of content is reviewed to ensure it is suitable for young Muslim children.

Where do your stories come from?

Miraj includes both original content created by our team and books, stories, and videos licensed from trusted authors and publishers. Every piece of content is carefully reviewed before being added to the app to ensure it is age-appropriate and suitable for Muslim families.

Our stories of the Prophets are reviewed by Islamic scholars and are primarily based on the Qur’an and authentic Hadith. Some stories may also draw from the Old Testament when it does not contradict Islamic teachings.

Is the content safe for my child?

Yes. Every piece of content is reviewed before publication. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no content that conflicts with Islamic values.

Do you offer music-free versions of your stories?

Yes, all of Miraj’s own content come with or without music and we try our best to get no music options for as many of our licensed content as possible. You can toggle music off in the app’s Settings.

Will you be adding new content?

Absolutely. That’s part of the fun. We’ll be adding new Islamic stories for kids and other content every week.

Do you have a free trial and how does it work?

Yes! We offer a 7-day free trial with our annual subscription plan, giving you full access to the entire app so your family can explore everything before committing. You will not be charged if you cancel at any time during the 7-day trial period. If you choose to continue, your subscription will automatically begin once the trial ends.

Can I share my subscription on multiple devices?

Subscriptions are intended for use within your household and cannot be shared outside your home. If you’d like to use Miraj in a school or classroom setting, please contact us at [email protected]

Please follow the steps bellow depending on where you originally subscribed:

Option 1: Share through your Apple ID
On your second device, sign in with the same Apple ID used to purchase the subscription. Then open the Miraj app, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchase. This method only works between iOS devices.

Option 2: Share using a Miraj account
Create a Miraj account in the app on the device you originally subscribed with. Then simply log in with the same account on your other devices.

Please note: Apple Store and Google Play do not support Family Sharing for subscription apps.

Can I gift a Miraj subscription?

Yes! You can gift a Miraj subscription through our website. Simply click the ‘Gift Miraj’ button at the top of our page or use the link here, choose the duration you’d like to gift and complete the payment. The recipient will receive an email with their gift details immediately.

If the recipient already has an active subscription, they can still use your gift. They just need to turn off auto-renewal on their current plan so it doesn’t renew automatically.

Can I change my subscription plan?

Yes! You can switch between our monthly and yearly plans at any time. The steps will depend on where you originally subscribed:

  • Cancel your current subscription
  • Wait for your existing subscription period to end
  • Open the app and tap the ‘Subscribe’ button or any locked content
  • Resubscribe on your preferred plan

Please note: subscription plans can only be changed to our standard monthly or yearly plans and not to any discounted or promotional offers.

Yes, you can request a refund.

If you subscribed directly through the Miraj app, refunds are handled by the platform you used to purchase your subscription:

If you subscribed via the Miraj website, please email your purchase invoice to [email protected] with the subject line ‘REFUND’ and our team will assist you.

Refund eligibility ultimately depends on the policies of Apple, Google or our payment provider. However, for purchases made through Google Play or our website, we will refund you within 30 days of purchase where possible, no questions asked.

I am unable to pay through Google / Apple, how else can I subscribe?

If you’re having trouble subscribing through the Apple Store or Google Play, please try the following first:

  • Check that you have a stable internet connection
  • Try using a different card or payment method if available

If you’re still unable to subscribe, you can also purchase a subscription directly through our website, linked here.

Devices & Access

Can my child use Miraj offline?

Yes. You can download content for offline use so your child can learn and play while travelling or without internet.

Can I use Miraj on a computer / laptop?

Yes — you can use Miraj on a computer or laptop, but only on Apple Silicon MacBooks (such as M1, M2, or later). You can download the Miraj app directly from the Apple Store on your Mac, just like you would on an iPhone or iPad.

Please note: Miraj is designed primarily as a mobile app, so while it does work on compatible MacBooks, the experience may not be as smooth as on a mobile device.

Can I use Miraj on a TV?

While the Miraj app can’t be installed directly on a TV, you can still enjoy it on a bigger screen by mirroring your phone or tablet:

  • If you’re using Apple TV (iPhone or iPad): You can use Apple’s built-in screen mirroring (AirPlay) to display Miraj on your TV, steps linked here (scroll almost all the way down)
  • If you’re using Android devices: Unfortunately, the Miraj app is not compatible with Chromecast. However, there are third-party ‘mirror phone to TV’ apps available on Google Play. You can download one compatible with your devices and use that instead

Account

I haven't received the verification email. What should I do?

If you haven’t received your verification email, please try the following steps:

  • Check all folders in your inbox, including Spam, Junk, Promotions, or Notifications, as emails can sometimes be filtered automatically
  • Restart the app — this will resend the verification email
  • Double-check that your email address is entered correctly on the ‘verification sent’ popup

Alternatively, you can sign up using your Apple ID or Google account, which are already verified so you won’t need to verify again.

If you’re still having trouble, please contact us at [email protected] and include the email address you used to sign up. We’ll be happy to help.

How do I reset my password?

How you reset your password depends on how you originally signed up for Miraj:

  • Tap ‘Log in with Apple ID’ on the app’s Get Started screen
  • Enter your Apple ID’s email address
  • Tap ‘Forgotten your password?’
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password
I’m getting an error saying my account exists with a different provider. What does this mean?

This error means that you’re trying to log in using a different method than the one you originally signed up with. Please try the following:

If you signed up using ‘Log in with Apple ID’ or ‘Log in with Google Account’:

  • Tap the ‘Log in with Apple ID’ or ‘Log in with Google Account’ button on the Miraj login screen
  • This will open a browser where you can enter your Apple or Google credentials

If you signed up manually using an email and password:

  • On the Miraj login screen, enter the email address and the password you set when you created your account.
  • (Please note: this login is separate from your Apple ID or Google Account, even if you used the same email address. The password would also be the one you set specifically for the Miraj app.)

If you’re unsure which method you originally used, or if these steps don’t work, please get in touch with us at [email protected] and let us know the email address linked to your Miraj account. We’ll be happy to help.
